This month we will focus on part 3 of our 3 part series on JavaScript frameworks and will get an introduction to Node.js.

In this talk, we will look at some of the core fundamentals of Node.js. We’ll cover how to get a server up and running, discuss good practices such as modularization and the usage of promises, and then cover the basics of a web framework like express.

Speaker: James Grant

James Grant is a Senior JavaScript Developer based out of Richmond, VA. He started his career as a .NET developer, and over time gravitated towards full-stack development where he found a love for JavaScript. He now spends his time writing full-stack JavaScript solutions using the MEAN stack.
