Building platforms is hard. Building platforms that scale is even harder. We will walk through applying principles that will open the up the doors for discovering microservices within our platforms. Ultimately we will learn that how we work is just as important as what we do.

Speaker: Michael Blakeney
As a lead software engineer at Terazo, Michael Blakeney is on a mission to enable, support, and encourage the efforts of multiple teams engaged in delivering platforms that scale to customers. Leveraging devops principles, cloud technologies like Amazon Web Services, and solid software engineering practices, Michael loves designing and building modern cloud solutions. With experience in applying agile principles, he leads engineering teams to build applications that solve complex problems. Throughout his career Michael has worked with teams in developing serverless API backends, modern database applications, data migrations, and well architected cloud based solutions.
